Andrew Sprung is an experienced music educator who has taught students of all ages and abilities. Current and former private students include 4th graders assembling & playing the instrument for the first time; many adult amateur musicians, including an 88-year-old retiree; collegiate Music Education & Music Performance majors; a middle school student from Germany who plays a German System clarinet; and a teenager from Seoul, South Korea who takes online lessons via Skype.

In addition to his duties as Instructor of Clarinet at Spring Arbor University and Hillsdale College, Sprung maintains an active private studio, teaching students in Oakland, Livingston, Wayne, and surrounding counties in Michigan. Current and former students have received division I ratings at Solo & Ensemble Festivals and participated in All-State music festivals, the Michigan Youth Arts Festival, the Detroit Youth Symphony Orchestra, and other honors ensembles. Former high school private students have gone on to major in music at colleges and universities.

The Student Agreement spells out what is expected of students, and what students can expect of Dr. Sprung. Students and parents/guardians are asked to complete and return the Agreement after the first lesson.
